I am pleased to nominate for a position on the QASEL Management Committee for 2027.

I have been a member of QASEL since 2018 and have represented the Far North Region as Regional Councillor since 2023. I also previously served as a member of the QASEL Management Committee in 2025 and have been actively involved in the QASEL Conference Committee over the past two years. These experiences have provided me with a strong understanding of QASEL’s work and the important role the association plays in connecting, supporting and advocating for special and inclusive education leaders across Queensland.

I have worked in special and inclusive education leadership across the Far North Region since 2016, including in the roles of Deputy Principal – Inclusion and Head of Special Education Services. My previous regional roles have included Autism Coach, Advisory Teacher for Autism and Advisory Teacher for Physical Impairment and AAC.

I am committed to supporting strong leadership that improves outcomes for students with disability and strengthens inclusive education. As a member of QASEL, I have valued the opportunity to build professional networks, contribute to statewide initiatives and support the QASEL values of Leading, Linking and Learning.

As a leader based in Far North Queensland, I also bring an important regional and remote perspective. I believe it is essential that the diversity of experiences across Queensland is represented in QASEL’s strategic conversations and that leaders in regional and remote communities remain connected to strong professional networks, advocacy and professional learning opportunities.

Having previously served on the Management Committee, I would welcome the opportunity to return in 2027 and contribute my experience, collaborative approach and commitment to the ongoing work and strategic direction of QASEL.
