I am seeking to join the QASEL Management Committee because I am passionate about special education leadership, professional collaboration and the collective influence we have in advocating for our sector. I value QASEL's role in connecting, supporting and developing leaders across Queensland.

Experience and strengths I would bring to QASEL:

• Leadership and school improvement: Experience in strategic, instructional and operational leadership, building positive school cultures, staff capability and sustainable improvement.

• Evidence-informed practice: Leading initiatives across PBL, MTSS, literacy, AAC and communication, translating research into meaningful school-wide practice.

• Professional and system leadership: Presented at the 2026 QASEL Conference and participating in the Flagship Aspiring Principal Program, strengthening professional connections and my broader system leadership perspective.

• Digital engagement: A strong interest and capability in digital media, social networking and creative communication to showcase school achievements, celebrate our sector and strengthen community engagement.

• Collaboration and capability building: A commitment to sharing expertise, connecting colleagues and supporting emerging leaders.

My contribution to the Management Committee:

I would bring practical experience, fresh ideas and a collaborative approach to QASEL's strategic direction, advocacy and professional learning. I am particularly interested in strengthening professional networks, amplifying the voices of special education leaders and exploring opportunities to enhance QASEL's digital presence and member engagement.
